This project will be implemented at no cost to the Government of Maharashtra. Not only will it increase the revenue generated for the Government, it will also facilitate fast calculation and payment of duty, shorten the waiting periods, restrict entry of arms and ammunition into the city, make available medical facilities and assist in pollution control, to name a few advantages. The technology used will be the same as the one for the Mumbai city Octroi check posts with certain differences.

With a view of reducing the time consumed in the long-drawn processes, improving the efficiency and making the system almost foolproof, Fulora Foundation has taken up the project of modernizing and automating the Octroi Check Posts in Mumbai city. American and Singapore based companies have extended their hand of co-operation in preparing the report on the project, similar systems having already been successfully implemented in both these countries.
